Grilled Shrimp with Orange Marmalade, Ginger and Fresh Mint by Chef Gilles

 

With this recipe Chef Gilles enhances skewered shrimp with our Orange Marmalade and turns a classic into a sensation. Get prepared, a delectable, spicy, sweet and refreshing surprise awaits.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Servings: 4 people

- 1 lbs of shrimp peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp sesame oil                  
- Juice of 1 orange                    
- ¼ cup rice vinegar
- 4 tbsp Happy the Golden Jam Orange Marmalade
- 2 tsp ginger                            
- 1 tsp chili flake
- 2 tbsp soy sauce                      
- Bamboo skewers
- Bell peppers (optional)
- Mint for décor            
- Sliced onion (optional)
- Green onion for decor

 
    

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a blender mix all the ingredients except the shrimp

  2. Pour the mix into a bowl and add the shrimp

  3. Let it marinate for 1 hour. In the meantime, soak the skewers in water for 30 minutes

  4. Thread the shrimp onto the skewers

  5. Grill 4 minutes on each side brushing some of the left-over marinade

  6. Serve with brown rice and some mint leaves on top and chopped green onion

    PS : If you like, add some sliced onion and bell peppers in between the shrimp.
